Our Mission

Angels of Light, Inc. assists children and families with a life threatening illness, or whose life has been suddenly altered by an accident or loss of life, living or receiving treatment in the Hudson Valley.

The idea for Angels of Light, Inc. was created over 15 years ago by Lori and George Decker, with the simple mission, that year, to help a family in need by providing Holiday gifts for their child with a life-threatening illness. Every family can fall on hard times, but it is especially difficult for families fighting for a loved one’s life.

With the help of their family the number of families grew yearly, and Angels of Light became a 501c3 in 2016. Since Angels of Light first began they have delivered over 7,500 gifts to over 1,300 children living in the Hudson Valley.

We are happy to announce that Angels of Light's initial mission, to assist children and families with life-threatening illnesses living in the Hudson Valley, has expanded to helping children and families all year-round with medical bills, utilities, food, gas, and much more.

Testimonial from one of our moms: "Angels here on earth. They have touched our hearts and shown us so much love. When my son was diagnosed with a brain tumor, his angels, Angels of Light, came to lift his spirits during a very difficult time. We will be forever grateful for the love and generosity they have shown us and continue to show us through friendship. Truly an amazing organization." -Heidi Foyston Nykaza
